Uppu rotti (Kanyakumari spl)



This uppu rotti is a very simple version of rice flour roti. It is good for healthy and tasty rotti.It is prepared using very minimum ingredients like water, salt and rice flour. I will prepare home made rice flour.It is simple and easy preparation of breakfast.

Uppu Rotti

Preparation time -10 time

Cooking time-5 min

Serves - 3 to 4

Ingredients

  Rice flour -2 cup

 Grated Coconut -1 cup

 Salt - to taste

 Gingelly Oil - 100ml
 
 Water -3 to 4cup



Preparation

Boil the water,grated coconut

Method

Take a bowl, add the rice flour ,salt, grated coconut.

                                Mix well.

        
                                   Add the boil water.






Mix well properly.close the lid, keep it aside.




Once the dough is warm, knead it very well. Squeeze, punch, fold and knead it . Better you knead, easy to make rotis.



Once you are done with the kneading, dust your fingers, pinch and take big lemon sized dough.


Take a clean  banana leaf and spread oil.


Take the rice ball turn the flat rotti forms using the fingers.


On the stove put dosa tava in high flame.spilt the gingelly oil . Take a leaf of rotti turn back the dosa tava.



Cook on low flame two side will be lightly golden and aromatic colour. Spread the gingelly oil.


Serve to hot rotti with potato masala gravy,chicken or mutton gravy,coconut sammanthi(thuvaiyal), Idli podi.it is easy to prepare breakfast...👍
